Those of you who ordered from the Alienware site.

How long does it actually take? I ordered mine and it says I should get it by the 27th, but that seems a little too long. It's not a custom order, do they make the laptops from scratch until you order or something?

Since this has been beat to death I will offer these wise words:

Pretend it will take 4 days longer than your estimated delivery date, never check online to see what stage it is at, and be ecstatically surprised when it arrives a week before your estimated delivery date.

I ordered mine last May, took about 2-3 weeks. Not too bad, considering it wasn't a busy time of the year/no holiday/etc.

A couple of weeks . I remember when I had my crap horrible uedbrfrhkjwhfniur Acer Aspire 5100 with the worst GFX card and CPU EVER! I kept checking on the deliver status. It took me exactly 2 weeks. EXACTLY!
