adding a 1394a card crashes computer

Hi all,



I'm trying to add a 1394a pci card to a newer Dell Optiplex 380. But when the system (windows 7 Pro) tries to install the driver it crashes each and every time. The error I get is:



NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error

*** Hardware Malfunction

Call your hardware vendor for support

*** The system has halted ***



Any help would be appreciated.
