Browsing the web on Samsung LED TV

I noticed already that Samsung does not offer a browser on the TV.

I connected the laptop to the TV in the hope I could share my screen with the TV. This way I could browse the web, watch VOD etc. using the laptop but viewing all on my TV.

The PC share manager only allows showing on the TV files from selected folders.

Does anyone has any advice how I could show my laptop screen on the Samsung TV?

Also, I should note that I am after connecting via the wireless link and not by cables.

Thank you for your help!

For what you suspected. To give wireless HDMI you have to research Wireless HDMI on google. It's not cheap.

In fact the new WIDI (see google) that comes in some laptops would be something to keep an eye on in case they ever make that available as an addon.

lindsayathome,

To show your desktop on the screen would require one of two cables - HDMI or PC.

If you want to wirelessly show your desktop, that's an entirely different piece of equipment, and we don't support that feature. That would be a third-party solution.
