Thermal Pads, what size?

I need to order some thermal pads for a GTX 280M, what size should I get? .5mm, 1.0mm, or 1.5mm? Thanks for the help guys!

i think i bought the 1mm for my 5870 and it seems to work just fine..

OK, lets be adults , is too thick a bad thing? Would it make the heat dispersion less efficient?

i've used both 1mm and .5mm on my 5850 and 5870. i found the thinner one were more better. but depends on the heatsink gap.

Kill, thanks again gents. The stuff isn’t too expensive, I'll purchase both. When the pad is applied how much compression of the pad is acceptable?

For one GTX 280m in the m17x the thermal pad sizes are:

2x 50mm x 15mm (1mm thickness)

3x 15mm x 15mm (1mm thickness)

1x 30mm x 15mm (4mm thickness)

cheers
