Help! Boot Up Problem With OS Selection

Here is the problem I have. I installed the windows enterprise version of windows 7. While running XPpro SP3 as the Base OS. I later removed windows 7 and just stuck with XP pro SP3 due to the lack of certain computing capabilities. So now whenever I restart I have The select OS screen pop up and I always have to select earlier version of windows. Is there any way to get it back to were that screen doesn't even come up and it just boots XP automatically? I am stumped. If you could help would be greatly appreciated.

If the Windows 7 boot loader is still there, it needs to be eliminated or modified. If the original WinXP is back to being in control, then modify the boot.ini to eliminate the choice.
